Such is the fate of all who disregard God,

   The hope of the impious comes to naught.

I originally had “godless shall perish” rather than “impious comes to naught”, but I wrote the change before I left the page in my journal originally and upon rereading it now, ages later, I pick the revision again.

The best thing about today so far was talking to people who recognized issues that I had seen as well. The question is whether we are picking problems that annoy us or will cause us to change things.

“Disregard” was translated as “forget” (7) or “put out of mind” (1), but I changed it to “disregard” for simplicity of language. “Fate” (3) was “paths” (3), “destiny” (1), or “end” (1). I just picked the last one used.

“Godless” (3) was translated “hypocrite” (2), “impious” (1), “wicked” (1), and “tainted” (1). I used “impious” as it seemed more encompassing than the rest. “Perish” (5) was also “fades”, “is lost”, and “comes to naught”. I used “comes to naught” as it seemed to open the possibilities of worthlessness.

I have recently confirmed that I am not suited to be a day trader. Beyond the fact I do not have enough money to make it worthwhile, I now know I do not know enough to be a good steward of God’s resources in that manner. I once wanted to help the world overcome the evils of communism. Then I had an idea of being involved in the background of politics. Not only do I not have the money to be involved, but I also do not have the stomach for dealing with the stereo type I have of the people on the front lines. So now I am back to asking God how I use the gifts He gave me for his glory now. I know He has a path for me, and I know I am to have a plan, but for me, the plan is to follow the path until a new plan arrives.

By the way, I have been rethinking the naming conventions I use. I keep changing without getting input to see if it matters.
