Job 24:1 Why as times are not hidden from Shaddai, Do those that know Him not behold His days? I was a little surprised that chapter 23 was over already. I feel like I am making progress now. Lots of notes and multiple attempts as I wrestled with this one. Feel like I… Continue reading Study of Job 24:1 – #566 Focus
Job 23:17 Yet, I am not silenced by darkness, With all encompassing gloom before my face. The verse seems to be like misguided discernment based on pride. Job wants a thing to be true, so he is trying to make up things to prove it so. I took a class on logic in… Continue reading Study of Job 23:17 – #565 Logic
Job 23:16 For God has made my heart weak, Shaddai has dismayed me. For years I have wanted to not be dependent upon a website to host my baseball card tracking. But it is cumbersome to replace it, more cumbersome to copy it all, even more cumbersome to start over, and unmanageable to… Continue reading Study of Job 23:16 – #564 Strength of God
Job 23:15 That is why I am dismayed by His mien, When I consider all this, I am in dread of Him. (This is the last of the really old ones, so now I will be about a month behind posting from writing.) I learned a new word today. If you read the… Continue reading Study of Job 23:15 – #563 All Mien
Job 23:14 Surely, He will complete what He has allotted for me, Much more of the same is at His disposal. Having avoided it pretty much all my life, I started tracking everything to do with my health today. (avoiding it again ti seems) It is much easier to not do something positive… Continue reading Study of Job 23:14 – #562 Much More of the Same
Job 23:13 Yet He determines, who can dissuade Him? What He desires, that He does. Another one of these verses that I really pulled something out of that I did not see in any of the versions I read, yet we all say the same thing. This afternoon I am going to finally… Continue reading Study of Job 23:13 – #561 Desire
Job 23:12 Never departing from the commands of His lips, As my law, treasuring the words of His mouth. My sources gave many thoughts to the translation of the word law. The traditional rendering was “daily bread” and alluded to what Christ told us to pray for, and we learned in Proverbs 30:8… Continue reading Study of Job 23:12 – #560 Departing Failure
Job 23:11 I have followed closely in His tracks, Keeping His way without swerving. My favorite part of this verse is swerving. None of my Christian sources used it, but every Jewish one did. My guess is that some guy in 1611 did not know the word swerve and impacted millions or billions… Continue reading Study of job 23:11 – #559 Swerving Backwards
Job 23:10 For surely, He knows my ways, Would He assay me, I would emerge pure as gold. Second day trying to do an old one and a new one. Really hope this is something I can stick with. I like the outcome of this effort. I believe that Job knows God is… Continue reading Study of Job 23:10 – #558 Pure Gold
Job 23:9 Left to the North, concealed I do not behold Him, Right to the South, hidden I cannot see Him. Trying for three in a day. I hope it is a good thing. Over the weekend, I got all our old computers as ready to leave my possession as I think I… Continue reading Study of Job 23:9 – #557 Oh to Whittle
