Job 15:35

For they conceive wretchedness,

   Giving birth to evil,

      Whose womb fashions deceit.

 

If I could ask the politicians in Congress anything right now, I would ask the Democrats if they want to give Trump all the power he is trying to amass and ask the Republicans if they want to give that power to which ever Democrat succeeds Trump. Trump probably wants to grab power hoping he can get the laws changed to let him keep running and winning office like his hero Putin did. Musk probably wants to take over for Trump after he can no longer run.  They probably will start trying to change laws to let that happen next.

‘Wretchedness’ was also ‘mischief’, ‘trouble’, and ‘evil’. ‘Conceive was also ‘pregnant’.

‘Giving birth’ was also ‘bring forth’, ‘bearing’, and ‘begetting’.  ‘Evil’ was also ‘sin’, ‘futility’, ‘vanity’, and ‘crime’.

‘Womb’ was also ‘heart’ and ‘belly’. ‘Fashions’ was ‘prepares’, ‘breeds’, and ‘produces’. ‘Deceit’ was unanimous.

It is amazing how the predictions of Trump’s path to not what we want are so spot on, but no one seems to be listening to how they are being played out. Everything is spun just so, and let’s face it, most people are stupid and want to believe our leaders are doing the right thing. Not sure why I am so fired up about Trump and Musk, but I sure as all get out did not vote for Musk. He may be great at screwing other people over in business, but that is not how I want my government to run.

Make no mistake, I would never have voted for Harris or Biden, but at least they were smiling and pretending to not screw everyone over. I am not sure how our country ends, but it sure seems like we are a lot closer than I thought. I know how people in the olden days wanted cold hard gold in the days leading up to collapse. As with most things of intrinsic value, there is a limit to how much you can carry and defend.

Every time I reread this verse, I just get more of a sense that it includes the state of our leaders right now. I am not sure the country falls in the next four years or even in my lifetime, but the sense of the US in the past in the Planet of the Apes movies now feels real. Good thing I am a citizen of heaven and that no matter how wretched my end, I will live out eternity with Christ. As much as I struggle making myself do the things I should, I know that I have done the thing I must.
