Study of Job 21:32 – #518 Party

Job 21:32

He is borne off to his mausoleum,

His image keeps watch over this tomb.

A meme I read, or post or whatever you call stuff on social media these days, gave me the idea that my ADHD or ADD or whatever might not be the same as what kids get but be some kind of mental imbalance caused by diet, exercise, or the lack thereof. Not that that means diet and exercise might also be the issues with kids, but it does mean it might be temporary. I am trying to get my supplements straight and to eat better, but it is almost as if eating right and enough exercise are oxy morons. I can do one, but not both.

‘Mausoleum’ was ‘grave’ six times and ‘sepulcher’ twice, but I chose a word I could not spell. ‘Borne’ was also ‘carried’, ‘brought’, and off by tense.

‘His image’ was ‘a watch’, ‘a vigil’, or left off. No notes remind me of where I got image. It seems the two options given were no one watches over his tomb where he remains or someone does. I guess I chose the no one else option. ‘Tomb’ was also ‘grave mound’ and ‘mound’.

The more I think about this, the more I think they have it wrong. The next verse is about following his bier and people marching. I think the image keeping is actually people going to his funeral to make sure he gets buried. I am not a Hebrew scholar or anything, but asking the Holy Spirit does sometimes give me clues.

He is borne off to his mausoleum,

   A vigil watches him entombed.

One of the images of the antichrist is that he is dead and yet rises again. I have wondered if this death was only symbolic and if it applies to Trump losing an election for President after being President, and then winning again afterwards. I certainly do not want to suggest that Trump is the antichrist to get people all up in arms about it, but simply to point out that sometimes prophecy using words for concepts that can’t be understood at the time of writing.

When I was a kid, we threw birthday parties to have a good time and get presents and all that stuff from back in the seventies. As we age, we throw parties for milestone birthdays. We have parties when we get married and a sorta part when we die (funeral). But I do not want to save up for a funeral. I don’t want people to gather to cry as we recently did when a friend’s parent died seven years after slipping from reality from a mental issue. I am no longer good with living to have a great eulogy; I want to celebrate and have a party any time I can. Now I just have to figure out what that looks like.
