But who denounces his conduct to his face?

   Who requites him for what he has done?

When I finally remembered to check my blood pressure yesterday it was down to where a normal person’s should be. It was a little late, but still in a good range. My life has totally changed in the last two weeks, but that is how God deals with us. Challenge until we get it, then blessing. But I know another challenge is coming.

‘Denounces’ was also ‘declares’, ‘condemns’, ‘upbraid’, ‘reproach’ and ‘tell’. ‘Conduct’ was also ‘way’.

‘Requites’ was also ‘repays’.

One of the opportunities before people is to live a life others can comment on. Many times the wicked hide their sin, but many times people sin where others can see it. Often, it seems, the wicked do something wrong, and no one ever calls them out for it. If a Christian has the correct support system, their friends will tell them when they have fallen short. My accountability partners have that as their duty. My duty is to try and listen.

One of my goals with baseball cards is to never pay so much that someone who knows about cards can tell me ‘You overpaid’. Having a great card that I paid too much for goes against everything I have done. It can all be seen as a waste, but the idea is not to fulfill my want as my wants will just grow. My idea is to have fun and enjoy the effort and to quit when those two are missing.

This whole idea of payback is pure sin nature. When someone passes me going to fast, I want them to get a ticket. When someone steals, I want them to get caught, to repay, and then go to jail to be punished. When someone spends more than they have, I want them to do without. But God says, ‘Vengeance is mine.’ I want to push down this desire for others to get what they deserve and leave all that to God. Easier said than done.
