Study of Job 21:25 – #511 Follow the Plan

Job 21:25

Another dies in bitterness of soul,

   Never having tasted happiness.

Life is better now. God was putting me through something to make me better coming out the other side. I thank Him for doing so. It was painful, but getting served a large dollop of humble pie is never easy.

‘Soul’ was also ‘heart’ or just bitter in general.

‘Happiness’ was also ‘good’ three times, ‘pleasure’ twice, ‘plenty’, and probably the best ‘joy’. No idea why I did not pick joy as it is the concept I associate with coming from God and not circumstances, but happiness seemed to fit the context of something the wicked could have.

I won’t bother with the details, but all my recent work struggles are over, and I can focus on the little things God has for me to do again. I knew work was too much, but I could not find my own way out of it. I kept charging forward expecting God to handle it. And He did.

My next struggle will be with getting all the healthy aspects of my life front and center until I am well enough to deal with other issues. I have gotten better and gotten my weight down in the process, but I do not think I am truly healthy yet. Today was vitamins, tomorrow is food, and then I will start on consistency. I hear the less than rich crying that the rich pay other people to take care of these things, but people have had the same issues ever since sugar was invented, and even the poorest can eat right if they chose.

I read an article that claimed only six men have ever lived past like 112 in documented history, and most of those have been dead over 40 years, meaning they got started in the 1800s. I do not really think I will live past 120, but I have committed to wanting to take care of myself in case I do. I want to be active if I reach those ages and not bed ridden or wheel chair ridden. I definitely want my brain to be working. Of course, that will only happen if I am following God’s will, so I hope to stick a little closer to that going forward.
