Job 21:27
Behold, I know your thoughts,
The schemes you plan against me.
I became aware of something, and I really like it. Today, I am trying to get back into the new swing of things. Not everything has been set, but I am trying to set myself and force the world to fit in. Or at least the parts of the world I am willing to let in.
I still like ‘behold’ over its many alternatives including being left out or ‘oh’, ‘look’, and ‘yes’ used here. ‘Thoughts’ was also ‘plans’, ‘exactly what you are thinking’, and ‘full well what you are thinking.’
‘Schemes’ was also ‘tactics’, ‘violent schemes’, ‘devices’, and ‘vicious malice’. ‘Plan against me’ was also ‘towards me’, ‘by which you would wrong me’, and similar phrases.
In what seems like ages ago, my oldest told me her friend liked Ella Langley. Then her big hit song came out, and everyone knows who she is. She and Morgan Wallen, who her friend also likes, put out a new song that I heard before my kid’s friend. It was kinda funny to be out in front on such a cultural issue.
Ella Langley has been talking about how trusting in God has allowed her to deal with the stresses involved with such sudden fame. Trusting in God is how I got through the last eight months and how I will deal with whatever comes next. It has been interesting to see my time with God become a fixture and my not eating with wild abandon become the norm. Hopefully, the next successes are getting my supplements and exercise back into that same level of who I am. Work is indeed overrated.
When I read the first part of this verse, I generally attribute that characteristic only to God. With AI and how transparent I am, most of the world probably knows what I am thinking. I know the second stitch is not from God, but I know He has plans for me all worked out. As I heard from Ella today, it is just for me to follow Him and all will be right.
