You must have consulted those who travel,

   You cannot disregard their accounts.

Today was my first real day where I felt back to normal. There is still work to do, but there will always be work to do of some kind. I am still not over my travel jitters. But I am pushing them down the road.

‘Those who travel’ was also ‘ those who travel the roads’, ‘them that go by the way’ (which has some meat for a different interpretation), ‘wayfarers’, ‘travelers’, and ‘passers by’. ‘Consulted’ was also ‘asked’ or ‘questioned’. And ‘must’ also took on a ‘have you not’, ‘have you never’ or ‘why not’.

‘Accounts’ was also ‘evidence’, ‘testimony’, ‘tokens’, or ‘signs’. ‘Disregard’ was also ‘deny’, ‘mistake’, ‘pay no regard to’, ’accept’, or essentially ‘not know’.

I have sorted all my Yordan Alvarez cards in preparation for an upcoming card show. I knew my collection was skewed, but I was amazed at the lack of variety after his rookie year. It’s almost to the point where I want to just try and ditch the ‘extras’ that are not part of my core collection as well as any doubles. I have a rule that I keep one of any Astro card I get since I am foremost and Astros fan, but it is my rule and I should be able to break it anytime I want.

The bulk of my collection has come from ebay, but I long ago wondered where people found cards not on ebay. I did as Job suggested and asked around and people said various things like the boards, the shows, on line, etc. The problem with all that is that collecting Astros only narrows the market to 1/30 of its full size. I could not possibly spend enough time to monitor all those outlets. Lately as I have focused on Yordan, I see how it is necessary to search farther out to fill in gaps, but as good as he is, Yordan is just one of many Astros.

Due to a faulty fire alarm, Bible Study was in a new location. The big question was how much effort does one need to spend on the deep knowledge of God as opposed to the sharing of love and the gospel. The answer is different for everyone, but I think I am seeing some possibilities of a new structure that will help me balance the possibilities. Now to see how it plays out.
