Job 22:12
You think:
‘God is in the lofty heavens,
Behold, the highest stars, how lofty they are!’
I wonder if Hebrew has heaven as the same word here like we do in English. I always understood the English word to have two meanings of space above the earth and a non-physical realm in which God inhabited. I must admit that this paradigm does not really jive with a physical future heaven that I will abide in, but I know my brain is not big enough to work all that out. I wonder if I should be curious enough to investigate all this.
‘You think’ was either ‘your thought’, ‘after all’ or left off.
The first stitch was a question according to the Christians and a statement according to the Jews. ‘Lofty’ was ‘heights the other seven times.
‘Behold’ was ‘see’ the other seven times. ‘Lofty’ was ‘high’ two times.
I had the thought that if I created an AI agent, that I could get it to write stuff for me using the patterns I have followed in this blog over the years. Then I thought that anyone could since it is a public blog. Sometimes I think about figuring out how to make money off the internet, but that never leads to effort. I do want to help people accept Jesus as their savior, but so far, I am happy with my audience.
Many years ago, I got on twitter to find a baseball card I wanted. It worked, but twitter was not compatible with my sense of right and wrong. I think I got on Instagram to follow my kid. That never happened, but I have found some baseball cards on it. It does not perfectly align with my sense of right and wrong, but it has been easier to avoid the wrong. I joined facebook to keep up with friends. That worked for a while, but it definitely sits apart from my sense of right and wrong. I do still use it to keep up with one sister and get baseball cards. Without cards I would have no social media probably.
So, what I ought to do is build an AI agent to sell all the baseball cards I have that I do not want and another one to buy all the ones I do. But that feels like work, and this is supposed to be a hobby I enjoy. I view these as lofty goals that are just out of my realm. I met a guy the other day who was overjoyed to have stopped being friends with people at work and cultivating real friends. He said it was a lot of work, but now he had friends who he cared about and vice versa. Can’t help thinking that as annoying as he was, it was God telling me what I need to do next.
